The Relationships Among Work-Family Facilitation, Self-Efficacy, and Satisfaction: Evidence from the International Tourist Hotel Industry

本研究目的旨在探討國際觀光旅館員工的工作--家庭助益、工作及家庭自我效能與工作及家庭滿意度關係,並檢視工作及家庭自我效能所扮演的中介角色。本研究透過單位大小不等的二階段群集抽樣方式,採用結構式問卷取得3家國際觀光旅館員工320份有效問卷。結果發現:工作(家庭)對家庭(工作)助益對工作(家庭)滿意度及家庭(工作)滿意度均有顯著正向影響;工作(家庭)對家庭(工作)助益對家庭(工作)自我效能有顯著正向影響;家庭(工作)自我效能對家庭(工作)滿意度有顯著正向影響;工作(家庭)自我效能扮演部分中介角色。引入中介變項釐清前人研究結果的不一致性,乃為本研究之原創性。抽樣方法、橫斷面設計與驗證對象則為本研究限制。 The main purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships among work-family facilitation, job self-efficacy, family self-efficacy, job satisfaction, and family satisfaction using evidence drawn from employees in international tourist hotels. The moderating effects of job self-efficacy and family self-efficacy were also examined. A two-step unequal unit cluster sampling method and structured questionnaire survey was conducted in this study. The procedure resulted in 320 usable responses. The results indicate that work-to-family (family-to-work) facilitation had significant positive effects on job (family) satisfaction and family (job) satisfaction; work-to-family (family-to-work) facilitation had significant positive effects on family (job) self-efficacy; family (job) self-efficacy had significant positive effects on family (job) satisfaction; job (family) self-efficacy had partial mediating effects on the relationships between family-to-work (work-to-family) facilitation and job (family) satisfaction. The originality of this study is its usefulness in clarifying the mixed findings of previous studies by incorporating mediators. The research limitations emerged from the sampling method, cross-sectional design, and survey samples.
