With the country vigorously promoting the modernization of national governance capacity, concrete requirements have also been put forward for education management modernization. Under such circumstances, data governance capacity, including big data, is playing an increasingly important part in education management. Based on both literature and case studies on data governance home and abroad, it shows that the research on data governance in education is at a stage of beginning and few studies have been done on data governance by those open universities who take information technology as their core competence. This paper presents a data governance framework, practical application path and implementation suggestions based on the practice of open universities, with an aim to enhance the research on data governance in open universities. |
