The implementation plan for the development of featured schools for primary and junior highs in Taiwan has reached phase four since started promoting in 1997. This stage continues to hold the same focal points of the previous three stages, including effective integration of school curriculum, instruction, courses and projects, and specifically emphasizes competence-oriented featured school programs, which cope with the implementation of the 2018 new curriculum. This paper aims to analyze the planning and practice of this fourth-stage competence-oriented featured schools and provide suggestions on the development of those schools. |
