Cluster Headache is an unilateral severe headache, which is frequently occurred in young men. General analgesics, such as Aspirin, Acetaminophen and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are not effective medicines against the pain. A 58-year-old female was referred to the clinic at the end of December last year, presenting with severe throbbing pain on the right side of her head for 10 consecutive days. She can’t endure the pain and go to the emergency room almost every night. The patient was prescribed huang gi gui zhi wu wu tang. After taking one quote drug, the patient felt that the pain scale of headache was significantly decresed from 10 to 2. Finally, the patient’s headache was gone after 3 weeks’ treatment, and has not been recurrent for two months. |
