Nanotechnology has been regarded as one of most significant technologies in the 21st century. Nanotechnology could be broadly applied in the fields from daily used products such as cosmetics, clean material to the high technologies like semiconductor and cancer treatment and other emerging industries so that its commercial potentiality is unevaluated. However, since nanotechnology is still at its initial stage its application research, we have do not have a comprehensive understanding of its potential risks. Hence, from perspectives of industrial economic dimension and protection of human environment, it is essential for government to collaborate with related industries on these issues. This paper argued that government take precaution measures on nanotechnology risks set by IRGC. There are numerous evidences shown that nanotechnology has resulted in environmental effects. It is submitted that government should recognize these issues by taking reference of IRGC rule when making governmental policy on the development of nanotechnology industry. |
