射干麻黃湯治療咳喘病例報告

A Case Report of Cough and Dyspnea with She Gan Man Huang Tang

A 64-year-old female was diagnosed as asthma about 9 years ago (2007) andbegan to use bronchodilator. After she suffered from pneumonia 7 years ago (2009),the frequency of asthma-related symptoms increased gradually. 10 days ago, shecame to Chinese Medicine Department of Chia-yi Christian Hospital because ofintensified cough with sputum, dyspnea, nasal allergy. She Gan Man Huang Tangis often used to treat clinical asthma-related symptoms such as wheezing or cough.The patient was prescribed She Gan Man Huang Tang. After 2 weeks’ treatment,the patient’s asthma-related symptoms were decreased significantly. Therefore,I take further study of the mechanism of She Gan Man Huang Tang in treatingasthma-related symptoms and the reason that asthma often aggravates at night.
