A Vigorous & Resolute story－The progressive history of Taipei City Chinese Medical Hospital

台北市立中醫院是國民政府遷台之後，台灣的第二所公立中醫醫療機構，從草創至今已超過四十年歷史。自民國70年開始，中國醫藥研究發展基金會在和平醫院組織中西醫療合作組，76年改為「台北市立和平醫院中醫部」，86年成立「台北市立中醫醫院」，94年因台北市立醫院群整併，改制為「台北市立聯合醫院中醫院區」，99年奉衛生局核定院區名稱為「台北市立聯合醫院林森中醫院區」。 台北市立中醫院能有目前的規模與局面實大不易，乃歷經中西醫專業人員、行政團隊、社會組織與政府主管機關的長期合作、克服現實困難而成就，無論在醫療照護、教育訓練、社會服務及學術研究等多方面都有長足的進步與發展。未來，相信該機構會秉持傳統、跨足創新，在前人建立的基礎上持續努力，繼續為傳統中醫學開創新局。

The Taipei City Chinese Medical Hospital is the second state-operated medical institution that had oriented in the Chinese Medicine Services, since the KMT government moved to Taiwan. The institution has more-than-forty-year of history since it's been established. A few important establishments had been made since the Chinese-Western Medical Cooperation organized by Chinese Medicine Research and Development Foundation at Heping hospital in 1981, followed by The Chinese Medicine Department formed at Heping hospital in 1987, the City Chinese Medical Hospital of Taipei launched 1997, the restructured United Chinese Medicine Campus of Taipei in 2005, the renamed “Taipei City Hospital, Linsen Chinese Medicine Branch” in 2010. The current scale of The Taipei City Chinese Medical Hospital has been a tremendous undertaking and seamless cooperation among the medical professionals, the administrative teams, the social organizations and the government authorities. These parties' efforts have inspired a great progress and development in various areas including the medical care, the medical education and training, the community services and the academic research. With the rich legacy, the Taipei City Chinese Medical Hospital will no doubt be able to continue its pioneering and conserving work for the Chinese Medicine.
