「水滴石穿，國士無雙」──記林昭庚教授的中醫成就

Intelligence with Perseverance－the Achievements of Professor Jaung-Geng Lin in Traditional Chinese Medicine

林昭庚教授是台灣中醫界的重要人物，在全球的傳統醫學界也頗具盛名。不僅兼具中、西醫師資格，為台灣第一位中醫針灸博士；更是第一位教育部審定的中醫教授。林教授在台灣中醫發展史上深具重要性，在教育、學術、行政上的努力與成就，都為台灣的中醫界奠下深厚而重要的根基，影響後人甚劇。 多年努力不懈的研究與奉獻，林教授獲得了國內外中西醫界學者與專業人士的一致肯定，今值其屆退之年，筆者對其四十餘年來的貢獻與成就加以整理呈現，除了增添台灣中醫學史上的一項美好記錄，也提供了後進極佳的典範。

Professor Jaung-Geng Lin not only is an important scholar of Chinese Medicine in Taiwan but a globally recognized achiever in the field of traditional medicine. Professor Lin was trained with both Chinese and western medical disciplines at the China Medical University in Taiwan. He later became the first awarded Doctor of Philosophy with the concentration in Acupuncture, and the first government-education-authority-certified professor of Chinese medicine in Taiwan. Professor Lin is of vital significance in the history and the development of Chinese Medicine in Taiwan. His efforts and accomplishment in education, academia and management has set the key foundation and made a great influence to the later generations of the Chinese Medicine professionals. Near Professor Lin's retirement, I would like to summarize his contribution and achievement over the last four decades with this essay. I hope, in addition to the recognition Professor Lin has received from the medical academia and professionals worldwide, this article can portrait his restless endeavor and great contribution as well as documenting the historical progress he has made to Chinese Medicine in Taiwan.
