臺灣社會理論知識的雙重殖民處境──兩岸社會理論專書譯作不對等流動的省思

The Situation of Social Theory in Taiwan: A Double Colonized Perspective

本論文藉由臺灣與中國大陸關於社會理論專書譯作的發展、流動（進出口）的不對稱現況，闡述臺灣的社會理論知識處境處於雙重的殖民狀態：一方面，臺灣社會理論學界對於中國大陸中文譯作的渴求與依賴，使得中國大陸的譯本成為支配著臺灣社會理論知識的活動內容；另一方面，臺灣與中國大陸的社會理論又不得不依賴西方歐美傳統與發展的社會理論，以解釋自身的經驗世界。前者是兩岸社會理論知識一消一長的關鍵，後者則是百餘年來，中西文化交流衝突與依賴的老問題。這兩種「殖民」皆非以武力所形成的支配關係，毋寧是一種「自我殖民」，是一種文化主體性的自我閹割，以及重新自我認識的契機。

This article investigates the mobilization of the translated books about social theory between Taiwan and China. The asymmetric statistics of the imported and exported books between China and Taiwan is elaborated a colonial relationship. The Taiwan books trade deficit with China implies a phenomenon of the cultural colonization. The academic situation of social theory in Taiwan falls into the double colonization: on the one hand, the condition of social theory in Taiwan depends on the translated books from China; on the other hand, the cultural unfavorable situation of Taiwan and China demands the tradition and development of social theory from the western world. The unforced domination can be explained a ＂self-colonization＂, that means a self-castration of the cultural subjectivity, and the critical moment of the self-awareness.
