The cultivation of aesthetic feeling is the most important part of the general education in the university. The purpose of the study was to explore the practice of serious leisure music appreciation which was aesthetic education-oriented music general courses from the perspectives of the theory of B. Reimer’s “Aesthetic Knowing” and to explore how did the university students exert “Eurhythmics” , ” Concept Map of Musical Elements”, and “Motion Graphics” to express their “ knowing within” about the musical elements. The study was an explanatory case study, the researcher used the methods of observation and semi-structured interview to gather information. The results showed that: 1. Constructing the aesthetic education-oriented teaching plan on serious leisure music appreciation was based on the theory of Reimer’s “Aesthetic Knowing” and J. Bruner’s “Modes of Knowledge Representation”. 2. Mapping the concept map of musical elements could let the university students know within the realistic aspect of musical elements and the impressionistic aspect of the referential association on music works. 3. Making the motion graphics must include the realistic aspect of musical elements and the impressionistic aspect of the referential association on music works, then the university students could achieve the level of knowing within the musical works, and music appreciation is no longer casual leisure, but long term planning serious leisure. |
