The purpose of study is to investigate a relationship between video game time spent playing and psychological construct (self-concept clarity). A pencil-paper survey and a convenience sampling for 159 college students who regularly played video game were deployed. The results revealed that self-concept clarity are more relevant units of analysis to understanding gamer psychology. Gamers with low self-concept clarity spend more times playing video games per week than gamers with high self-concept clarity. Female gamers in the group of below 5 hours per week spend more time playing video games than male gamers. |
