The aim of this study was to explore the motive for the junior kendo players to participated kendo (sport) and the difference of participation motive and impediment factors among these players. The objects were the pupils who attended second annual Din-Zuan Cup Kendo Tournament and their name listed on the program, totaled 27 teams 108 players, survey was conducted by popular query in compliance with questionnaire, 106 effective copies were obtained. The samples after processed with reliability analysis, item analysis, exploratory factor analysis, t test and one-way ANOVA, it was found that: In participation motive aspect, sixth grade pupils were older in age and senior in kendo practice duration, they grew to near puberty and more self-assertion, their participation motive was less disturbed by environmental factors, they chosen their favorite sport item much according to their will, the degree of influence by environmental factors were much less than third grade and fifth grade pupils. In impediment factors aspect, third grade pupils were higher influenced than fifth grade and sixth grade pupils in psychological factors and team support aspects, instructors scrutinized how to provide the new players with feeling of (team) belonging and security to eliminate their fear to strange environment, in order to strengthen their participation motive and eliminate of restriction factors are important theme in future promotion. |
