This paper focuses on occupational injuries and investigates the relationships among safety consciousness, perceived safety climate, and occupational injuries. The sample includes 317 kitchen workers from Taiwan’s hotel industry. The results support the path of “safety consciousness → perceived safety climate → occupational injuries”. Specifically, perceived safety climate is directly and negatively associated with occupational injuries. In addition, while safety consciousness has direct positive effects on perceived safety climate, it does not have a direct significant influence on reducing occupational injuries. The perceived safety climate is therefore found to play a mediating role in the relationship between safety consciousness and occupational injuries. |
