Quite a lot of the museums and exhibition areas are related with Hakka culture. And due to the advanced science and technology, people are accustomed to the acquiring of information via portable mobile devices especially by the mobile device application (APP). Hence, to design a highly readable interface which facilitates the searching of learning and guidance information has become an important subject for the designers when they design and assess the product interface. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to provide design advice on Hakka culture exhibition hall online navigation system for users. In this study, analysis is carried out mainly through the questionnaires, and the current mobile device application for the Hakka museum. As a result, it is found that : (1) Majority of the public is willing to download the museum related mobile device application; (2) Transportation information, museum district information, map of the park and the latest news are the users’ top request items; (3) Clear pictures, size of the font and the color matching of interface are most important in interface design; (4) Blue, red, pink and white are the most typical Hakka colors; (5) Hakka pattern cloth, the Tung flowers, Hakka blue dye and oil-paper umbrella can represent Hakka elements most; (6) Users spending much time to complete the task by using the current mobile app in Hakka Museum presents negative results in the Task Load survey. Results of this research will be helpful to the future design for the Hakka museum’s mobile device application and will also serve as a reference for web page design. Its method of research will also provide reference criteria for the related research design. |
