The Role of PET/CT for Endometrial Cancer

正子攝影／電腦斷層在子宮內膜癌的應用日漸普遍，既可觀察局部組織攝取氟18去氧葡萄糖的多寡也能幫助正確判讀解剖位置。結合二者對子宮內膜癌的分期、治療後的監控和復發病灶的偵查。同時，正子攝影／電腦斷層對低風險的子宮內膜癌患者檢查如屬陰性，可考慮避免做淋巴結摘除術。

Recently, positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) is popularly used for endometrial cancer. In general, the examination of PET is simply interpreted visually by looking for areas of focally increased uptake. In addition, CT scan aids in anatomic localization. Whole-body PET/CT is found very useful for initial staging, post-therapy surveillance and detection of recurrent lesions in endometrial cancer. In addition, PET/CT imaging can be used in selecting candidates for avoiding lymphadenectomy for patients with a low risk of aggressive disease.
