In the past, the newly elected president of the Society of Anesthesiologists of Republic of China (SARC)-- renamed as Taiwan Society of Anesthesiologists (TSA) in 2002-- naturally and jointly became the new chief editor of Acta Anaetheiologica Sinica (AAS), the official journal of SARC, after his assumption of office. The term of the presidency is two years and therefore the chief editor's term of office was relatively and seemingly short. It was difficult to keep the quality of AAS in a right consistence and to upgrade its level to raval with good scientific journals of Taiwan. |
