Drug-related crime has always been our major issue. Usingdrugs not only endangers health but also causes aberrations andcrimes after illicit drug addiction. Although countries all over theworld have set up drug abuse prevention and counseling measuresto prevent drug abuse problem of servicemen, counselingeffectiveness of Drug-abuse servicemen’s abstinence in aconsiderably closed military system lacks relevant positiveresearch.This study will investigate the effect on progressingcounseling mechanisms and consultative counseling todrug-abuse servicemen. For the study, five drug-abuse servicemenand six counselors were invited for interviews and servicemaninspectors were invited to forums. Data compilation andshort-term recidivism rate analysis of drug-abuse servicemen hadled the study to three important effect analysis, “Negativeemotion relieving for drug-abuse by counseling,” “Usingtreatment team to enhance counseling effect” and “Necessity ofduty management and monitoring.” Therefore, the study willdiscuss this outcome further, and suggests regarding drug-abuseservicemen as deviants instead of convict patients, replacinglabeling condemnation with acceptance and counseling.Simultaneously, hospitals should utilize treatment teams toprovide consultative services and duty service should increase servicemen’s urinalysis control. Thus, it can enhance externalcontrol effect and reduce relapse. |
