With the advancing of economic growth and living standards in recent years, heath awareness has become a national focus. As a result, exercise has become a part of daily life. Other than facilitating health, exercise serves as a way to future enrich one's life. Badminton is one of the most popular sports activities among Taiwanese citizens, one great for both the old and young. However, few studies have explored the correlations among Participant's Motivation, Recreational Benefit, and Living Quality in badminton games. Furthermore, Taoyuan has been officially upgraded to a special municipality on December 25, 2014; consequently, the Department of Sports has been established to promote public participation in exercises. This study selected badminton lovers in Taoyuan District as research subjects to study the correlations among Participant's Motivation, Recreational Benefit, and Living Quality. A survey study has been facilitated with a total return of 365 valid questionnaires from badminton lovers in Taoyuan District. Under the analysis of Structural Equation Model (SEM), major findings for this study are as follows: (1) Participant's Motivation has direct effect on Recreational Benefit. (2) Recreational Benefit has direct effect on Living Quality. (3) Participant's Motivation has no significant effect on Living Quality. Based on the research findings, practical implications and recommendations are provided to relevant organizations for references. |
