Meet with Tibet Here - The Struggle of the Tibetan Book Shop

中文世界的政治類西藏書籍幾乎全是大一統的中國式觀點，中文讀者應該有權利傾聽不一樣的聲音，西藏人更應該致力與中國人為主的漢人溝通，讓不同觀點的論述文本一起接受歷史真相的檢視。為此，雪域出版社在達賴喇嘛西藏宗教基金會的指導下於臺灣成立。雪域認為，唯有補全西藏的觀點，讓中、藏雙方論述並存，世人及後代才有機會思考與判斷。多數出版社致力於熱銷大賣的書，但是出版社不願意或不敢出版的冷門小眾市場、或是有中國顧慮的西藏書，正是雪域出版社的主力所在。

While almost all of the books on Tibetan issues in the Chinese communities represent the official view of China, readers should enjoy the right of access alternative points of view. In particular, Tibetans should communicate with the Han so that different perspectives can be examined. Mindful of such need, The Tibetan Book Shop (TBS) was set up in Taiwan sponsored by the Tibet Religious Foundation of H. H. the Dalai Lama. The Book Shop considers that the views from both China and Tibet should be presented together so that people all over the world have a chance to think and judge. Thus, the Book Shop is devoted to publishing books on Tibetan issues that other publishers do not welcome or do not dare to rlease, or which are prohibited by the Chinese government.
