In 2015, 10,711 cases of tuberculosis (incidence rate: 45.7 per 100,000 population) were confirmed, which went down in both case number and incidence rate with 5.4% and 5.6% declining respectively, as compared with 11,326 confirmed cases (incidence rate: 48.4 per 100,000 population) in 2014. The data of confirmed TB cases in 2015 were analyzed as follows: (1) By gender There were 7,499 male cases (70.0%) and 3,212 female cases (30.0%) with a male to female ratio of 2.3:1.0. The incidence rate of tuberculosis in males (64.1 per 100,000 population) was 2.3 times higher than that in females (27.3 per 100,000 population). |
