照顧服務員之工作能力初探

An exploration of nurse aides'work competency in Chiayi county

目的：探討照顧服務員應具備的工作能力。方法：採橫斷式量性研究，使用結構式問卷，以嘉義縣、市長期照護機構的主管、照顧服務員、個案及其家屬為研究對象，有效樣本為250位。結果：照顧服務員最能勝任的工作為促進個案的舒適、即時協助處理個案的現存問題、維護個案的安全、照顧個案的日常生活；最不能勝任的工作為協助發現及處理個案的潛在問題、確實執行照顧計劃、帶領個案活動。結論：照顧務服員應具備察覺個案問題與協助解決個案問題的能力，能協助處理突發事件、應用照護資源、知道個案的活動需求、會帶領個案執行簡單的活動；並應提昇其社會暨心理層面的工作職能並強化支持體系，同時持續提供系統性的教育訓練，以提升照顧服務員的工作能力與表現，進而強化照顧服務品質。

Objective: This descriptive study was designed to investigate the work competency of nurse aides. Methods: The cross-sectional quantitative study at long-term care facilities in Chiayi City and County was conducted by the structured questionnaire.The questionnaire was sent to participants and 250 of them completed. Results: The most competent work of the nurse aides was to promote the comfort of cases, deal with cases of existing problems immediately, safeguard the security of the case, and take care of the daily life of the case. The most incompetent work requirements was to help identify and handle cases' potential problems, carry out the care plans truly, and lead activities. Conclusion: The nurse aides should have abilities to notice problems and solve problems, assist in handling an emergency, take advantage of care resources, realize the needs of activities , and take the case to do some simple activities. In order to enhance the nurse aides' work competency and care quality, it was important to increase their social and psychological aspects of the job functions, strengthen their support systems, and continue to provide systematic training.
