隨著網路的普及和雲端運算的熱門發展,教育大數據的時代已經來臨了。大數據技術能快速擷取、處理和分析大量資料,成為可解讀有用的資訊,以供理解現象、預測趨勢和決策之參考。教育大數據是大數據的一個子集,係指整個教育活動過程中所產生的以及根據教育需要收集到的,主要用於教育發展並可創造價值的數據集合。值此我國教育改革重新思考和眾多複雜教育問題亟待解決之時,如何將眾多的資料轉化為有價值的訊息,教育大數據無疑提供了一個很好的發展方向並激發創新做法。然而,當前我國教育大數據的採集系統和運用模式仍缺乏重視和推展,同時還有不同型態的教育資料系統尚未整合、教育系統不能過度依賴大數據分析、資料蒐集不能影響學生隱私等問題與隱憂,期待大家一起積極來努力探討。 |
英文摘要 |
The emerging popularity of the Internet and cloud computing has ushered in a new age of Big Data in Education. Big data analytics is defined as the process of quickly examining large and varied data sets. It indicates that extended useful information in explaining uncover hidden patterns, unknown correlations, user trends, and preferences, etc., helps in make better informed decisions. “Big Data and Education”, a term for the collection of educational data sets, is a subset of Big Data. It is so large and complex that it is difficult to process by using traditional tools. Its potential value is mainly in educational development. While we are dealing with educational reform and related complex issues, it seems that it is more important to translate educational data into useful information. We find Big Data and Education can absolutely provide a right way to needed development and inspire innovation. However, there is a lack of attention to Big Data and Education collection and analysis, including different types of educational data need to be integrated, and protecting the privacy of students. In conclusion, we should not overly rely on data, but rather on smart data use lest it should infringe upon students’ privacy. Successful education will be those that have invested in big data. As the information revolution rolls on, we cannot afford to miss out on the insights that big data provides. |
