Nosocomial Infection Control

The impact of SARS outbreak highlighted the importance of infection control in hospitals. In order to improve patient safety, protect against the occurrence of infections in hospitals, and strengthen measures to control nosocomial infections, the Taiwan CDC continuously work on coordinating the implementation of annual inspection program, gathering and documenting surveillance data on the occurrence of nosocomial infections and the status in antimicrobial resistance at country level, and drafting nosocomial infection control guidelines.
