In 1999 , the Taiwan Centers for Disease Control (T CCaiwan CDC) was established by merging the Bureau of Communicable Disease Control (BCDC), the National Quarantine Service (NQS) and the National Institute of Preventive Medicine (NIPM) under the Organization Law of the Centers for Disease Control, in order to consolidate resources, and to establish a comprehensive infectious diseases control system for the challenges of the 21st century. |
