The purpose of this study was to explore the operational accuracy of two blood pressure measurements and related factors for ICU nurses. The investigator designed a structured questionnaire and assessment instrument used in this study. A total of 76 subjects were recruited. Data was collected from ICU nurses of one medical center in Taipei by one data collector. The results of this study indicated that: (1) The level of nursing educational background and age did not have a significantly different effect on the operation accuracy. (2) The perception of direct method showed a negative relationship and significantly correlated with the operation. However, in the extent of indirect method, the perception showed a positive relationship, but not significantly correlated with the operation. The implication for nursing practice and nursing education are discussed, further study is also suggested. |
