Nursing Staff Communication during Nursing Shift Changes

交班是重要的護理專業實務。本文透過統整相關文獻，說明交班對安全和連續性照護的重要性，交班過程所涵蓋：訊息的溝通、同仁間之情感支持、團隊默契的建立，以及促進專業社會化的功能；然而，護理人員也在其中透露缺乏自信與力量的聲音。本文藉由探討護理交班，期待護理人員能察覺交班的重要內涵、功能和附帶收獲，且可有效運用並提升照護品質。

Nursing shift reports (NSRs) are crucial to the maintenance of patient safety and continuity of care. Relevant literature note that NSRs serve four main functions, including (a) communicate patient information, (b) provide a framework for emotional support between colleagues, (c) establish tacit understanding for group development, and (d) facilitate professional care practices. However, lack of selfconfidence and lack of influence over the NSR format have been concerns voiced by some nurses. This paper discusses through a review of the literature the purposes and significance of NSRs and common NSR practices. Strategies for improving shift reports are also recommended.
