Uterine sarcoma: an overall review

子宮肉瘤(uterine sarcoma)約佔子宮癌(uterine cancer)的3-7%。由於極為少見，資料貧缺，因此一直以來，它的發生原因，診斷，治療以至於預後的預測都看法不一。本偏重點放在進一步的了解子宮肉瘤，對它的新近發展，和未來期望，都做一個簡要的報導。

More than 95% of cancers of the uterus are carcinomas. Uterine sarcomas, which account for 3-7%, are cancers that started from the muscle and supporting tissue of the uterus. Uterine sarcomas are associated with bad prognosis and approximately 50% of all patients develop metastases even if they are diagnosed at early stages. The high mortality level makes uterine sarcomas one of the most challenging tumors in oncology. This article is a general review of uterine sarcoma, with emphasis on targeted therapy, a newer type of cancer treatment.
