論閩方言四等韻的三個層次

Chronological Strata of Qie$yu$n Grade IV Finals in M'&n

美國漢學家羅杰瑞在〈閩語詞彙的時代層次〉（1994）一文的結論指出：閩語基本上有秦漢、南朝、晚唐三個時間層次。丁邦新〈重建漢語中古音系的一些想法〉(1995) 則指出六朝時期的中古音實際上應該分別擬測為江東方言（金陵）及河北方言（鄴下）。梅祖麟先生〈閩語、吳語和江東方言之間的關係〉(1999) 一文則指出：閩語、吳語都具有古江東方言這一時間層次，不過我們還需要把這兩個方言的層次之間對應的情況加以釐清。有了上述諸位前輩學者的啟發，本文即擬以閩方言為對象，透過《切韻》及《韻鏡》所提供四等韻──齊、蕭、添、先、青──的框架來分析閩方言豐富的文白異讀中所呈現的語言層次。

Jerry Norman (1979), Pang-hsin Ting (1995), and Tsu-Lin Mei (1999) have hypothesized three distinct chronological strata for the M'&n dialects. After studying the Qie$yu$n grade IV finals, this author can provide proof that there are indeed three chronological strata of grade IV in the M'&n dialects. The paper consists of the following sections: 1. Comparative tables of Qie$yu$n grade IV finals for M'&n subdialects. 2. Chronological strata of Qie$yu$n grade IV finals in the M'&n dialects. 3. Etymological studies of the M'&n dialects. 4. Reconstructing proto-M'&n. 5. Relationship between the Old Jia#ng-do#ng dialect and M'&n.
