巿售紫草藥材總紫草醌含量調查

SURVEY OF THE CONTENT OF TOTAL SHIKONINS IN COMMERICAL MACTOTOMIAE RADIX

為了解市售紫草之品質，於民國75年10月抽購50件軟紫草檢體（北部32件；中部12件；南部6件），以氯仿為溶媒，抽取紫紅色色素，再用分光光度計測定'總紫草醌' （Totalshikonin） 含量。測試結果含量最低為0.28%，最高為5.87%，平均為1.13%。

In order to understand the content of total shikonins in commercial Macrotomiae Radix (Macrotomia euchroma (ROYLE) PAULS), Fifty samples were extracted with chloroform and spectro-photometrically determined for their shikonin contents by their absorption at the wavelength of 525nm. The results showed that the contents of total shikonins ranged from 0.28 to 5.87%, with an average of 1.13%.
