In order to help non-experienced parents take good care of their newborn babies, the baby room conducted a project entitled “Improvement of Information Services on the Nursing Care of Newborn Babies.” In addition to teaching postpartum women how to take care of their babies, the baby room regularly traced and recorded problems in baby care occurring at home. The baby room tried to help parents with active information services. As a result, scores for mothers’ knowledge of baby nursing were increased from 16 to 89 points. The number of interrupting calls to the baby room was decreased from 3.7 to 1.8 calls per day and the satisfaction of newborn babies’ parents with nursing education was increased from 3.86 to 4.13. |
