化妝品皮膚毒性之評估

THE SKIN TOXICITY EVALUATION OF COSMETICS

科技之進步，工商業蓬勃發展，合成化工產品正不斷湧入週遭環境，化粧品即是其中一項，亦是廣受社會消費大眾所喜愛之化工產品；由於國民所得提高，對於化粧品品質之要求日益提昇，需求亦日益殷切，而促使該項產品朝多元化之方向發展並強調產品之附加價值；本調查研究係以美髮護髮系產品為主，由於種類繁多而且廣受仕女消費群眾所喜愛，但是否會由於產品品質安全問題，使用部位發生有程度性潮紅或刺激性之傷害。因此為瞭解該類化粧品對於皮膚之刺激性，於臺灣地區分區價購檢體，進行皮膚刺激之毒性試驗以評估其安全性。

In order to evaluate the skin toxilogical potential, 104 samples were purchased from northern, southern and central area in Taiwan. Samples were tested according to the criteria of judgement for irritation. the servity of sysptoms of skin irritation is classified into four classes: no, mild, moderate, severe irritation. It is foundthat among the 104 samples, 74 are no irritation and 30 are mild irritation, no case of moderate of severe irritation is found. Samples are also classified into three groups by method of use. Among 35 samples of group one, 26 are no irritation, and 9 are mild irritation. Among 21 samples of group two, 10 are no irritation, 11 are mild irritation. Among 48 samples of group three. 38 are no irritation and 10 are mild irritation. When samples are classified by variety of cosmetics, different distribution is found. For cold and hot perm, 48 samples are no irritation and 21 are mild irritation. For hairdye, 9 samples are no irritation and 1 is mild irritation. For hair conditioner, 17 samples are no irritation and 8 are mild irritation. In addition, Samples are classified by purchased area. In the northern area, 28 samples are no irritation and 16 are mild irritation. In the southern area, 37 samples are no irritation and 7 are mild irritation. In the ce.ntral area, 9 samples are no irritation and 7 are mild irritation.
