Cancer is a life threatening illness, with endless suffering and affliction, When the patient’s condition becomes worse or recurrent, he/she will feel fear and anxiety, especially the mother. Using the field research method, our study investigated those nursing problems which were related to a post-operative ovarian cancer patient with metastasis who was receiving chemotherapy. The study indicated that the patient’s had sleep disturbance, a desire to eat, fear, pain, loss of ability to look after her children, and a missing of home and the choice of destiny. This study can offer health care professionals an impressive understanding of those terminal cancer women, help them to accept the disease, control the disease, and give them quality of nursing care. By means of supporting patient and family, patient can go end her life very peacefully. |
