Postoperative pain of thoracotomy is severe than other surgical approaches, the major reasons are rib spreading and injury of intercostal nerve. Video-assisted Tboracoscopic Surgery (VATS) is a way to reduce postoperative pain, due to avoid rib spreading and less intercostal nerve injury. For small lung tumors, conventional VATS is useful to avoid rib spreading, but it is not work for large lung tumors. We report a case of huge lung tumor used subxyphoid uniportal VATS approach with minimally postoperative pain. |
