照顧一位SARS患者之護理經驗

Caring for a Patient with SARS: A Case Report

感染SARS的患者，在短時間內不僅要經歷身體上接二連三不適的症狀，更必須面對一連串心理上的煎熬。本文是探討一位SARS患者住院過程因疾病及嚴格隔離措施引發之相關護理問題，進而呈現相關之照護經驗。舢者於護理期間以身體檢查、會談、觀察、收集疾病史、以及與醫療團隊合作討論的方式收集相關資料。因為疾病本身的進展和治療的需要，個案於住院當中漸漸出現氣體夜換功能障礙、腹瀉、現存性感染、活動功能障礙的護理問是，而嚴格隔離措拖也衍生出社交隔離和焦慮的問題。因為SARS特殊照護方式，筆者不斷透過與醫療團隊的合作與論論，進行具個別性的照護，並以主動關懷、有效溝通、和主動提供相關訊息等方式，協助個案解決護理問題。SARS的照護是全新的經驗，期望此篇個案報告可做護理人員照顧此類患者之參考，不僅解決個案生理上的病痛，也多給予情緒方面的照護，達到整體性護理的目的。

A patient with SARS infection experiences not only physical suffering in a short period but also psychological torment. This case report describes the experience of nursing care of a patient with SARS who suffered related nursing problems from the disease and the strict isolation strategy. During the care period, we collected data through physical examination, interview, observation, medical history and discussion with the care team. During the case's period in hospital, with the progress of the disease and his treatment needs, he underwent gaseous exchange impairment, diarrhea, infection, and activity intolerance. The strict isolation strategy also confronted the case with social isolation and anxiety, which also required nursing responses. Because of the specific method of care, we implemented individual care through teamwork and cooperation, active caring, effective communication, and provision of related information. Consequently, this case's problems were resolved. Caring for SARS patients is a completely new experience and this case is presented as an example for future care in similar cases. Besides resolving physical discomfort, emotional support should be emphasized to achieve holistic nursing.
