英文摘要 |
Dementia is a concern among the elderly, as the incidence of dementia increases with age. In the progress of dementia, symptoms including regression of self-care ability and problem behaviors are presented. Major caregivers of dementia patients are family members, who face severe stress and challenges in home care. Dementia patients will be institutionalized if caregivers cannot overcome these problems. The themes of this article are focused on caregivers' training and social support, and on helping families understand how to deal with care problems. The aim is to make the support network for dementia patients' families more complete and diverse in the future. |
