Body Politics of the Pap Smear Screening Test Policy

子宮頸癌發生率長期以來居於台灣婦女癌症之首位，提昇「子宮頸抹片」之篩檢率是台灣主要的公共衛生政策之一。本文欲檢視子宮頸抹片、婦女身體及國家公共衛生政策間的關係，強調醫療科技建構而成公共衛生政策的複雜過程及轉化過程與婦女身體間之互動。

The incidence of cervical cancer has ranked the first among all female cancers in Taiwan. To increase the acceptance rate of Pap smear screening tests has been one of the most important public health policies. This paper examines the transformation processes of the Pap smear test, women's bodies and public health policy. The emphasis is on the complicated process of one medical technology being transformed into public health policy and how women's bodies incorporate into this transformation.
