New Concepts for Falls in Hospitalized Patients

跌倒造成病患傷害及醫療花費之增加。在講突醫療品質的二十一世紀，面對高居不下的跌倒意外事件，莫不讓醫院護理人員感到龐大的壓力。本文籍由文獻查證提出以下幾個新觀念，期望能提供護理人員預防跌倒之參考：一、籍由危險因子之調查提供跌倒危險因子之辦識，二、介紹馬里蘭醫院協會所推行的跌倒指標，三、介紹「非蓄意性傷害危險：跌倒」護理診斷，最後提出護理成果分類及護理措施。

Falls are linked to increased morbidity and higher health care costs. Patient falls is a major factor causing stress in nursing staff in the cost and quality-oriented 21st century. This article offers four new concepts on falls, including (1) fall risk factors identified by survey, (2) fall indicators introduced by the Maryland Hospitals Association Quality Indicators Project, (3) introduction to the nursing diagnosis “unintentional injury risk: fall”, (4) classification listed by nursing interventions and nursing outcomes for falls; in on attempt to enhance nursing staff's afety providing capabilities which may further prevent falls for hospitalized patients.
