Service to the Knowledge Industry

實施及推廣各類標準書號及預行編目制度是國家圖書館的重要業務職掌之一，也是服務知識產業非常重要且直接的管道，更是臺灣出版界與國際出版接軌的關鍵。可喜的是，至2009年，「國際標準錄音錄影資料代碼」已推展10年，證明在傳統書籍之外，見證臺灣視聽媒體出版品的活絡。這項業務的獨特性與重要性，在在彰顯本館輔導全國圖書館事業發展的角色定位。

Implementing and promoting all types of standard book numbering and cataloging in publication (CIP) systems is one of the major undertakings of the National Central Library, and is a critically important, direct service to the knowledge industry. Moreover, it is a direct means of integration between Taiwan's publishing industry and the rest of the world. One event that is especially worth rejoicing in 2009, is that this year marks the 10th year of NCL's promotion of the International Standard Recording Code (ISRC), demonstrating that aside from traditional books and printed materials, there are clear signs of the dynamism of Taiwan's audiovisual media works. The special character and importance of this undertaking makes manifest NCL's established role in leading and guiding the development of all the nation's libraries
