Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine the immune modulatory effect of Cordyceps sinensis on the normal human. Methods: Thirty healthy volunteers were divided into nature Cordyceps Sinensis group, synthesized Cordyceps sinensis group and control group at random. The volunteers took medicine 500 mg /capsule three times per day for one month. Blood samples were collected from vein before and after taking medicine. Using an ultra-sensitive chemiluminescence analyzer and lucigenin amplification to detect free radical numbers. Results: After the administration of Cordyceps sinensis for one month, the free radical numbers decrease in both the nature Cordyceps sinensis group and synthesized Cordyceps sinensis group incompared with those in the control group (p< 0.05). Conclusion: Both the nature Cordyceps sinensis and synthesized Cordyceps sinensis could decrease the free radicals numbers of normal human after taking these medicines for one month .but the synthesized Cordyceps sinensis are more ecoamic and less expansive than the synthesized Cordyceps sinensis. In conclusion ,nature Cordyceps sinensis decrease normal human free radicals via immune modulation effect. Synthesized Cordyceps sinensis has the same effect as compare with nature Cordyceps sinensis. But the immune modulation mechanism of Cordyceps sinensis on normal human request further investigation. |
