Delusional infestation is a psychiatric disorder manifests itself on the skin. It is characterized by the unshakable belief of being infested with pathogens without any medical or microbiological evidence for this clinical presentation . In this clinical presentation, it is often diffi cult to treat, as it is not only a disease of the skin, but also that of a psychiatric problem. We are presenting here a case to draw attention to a rarely reported delusional infestation occurring in a patient with alcohol use disorder. |
