Oral cancer has been a focus of great concern. Scientists have induced oral cancer in animals using the carcinogen 4-Nitroquinoline 1-oxide (4-NQO) to gain a deeper understanding of oral cancer. Considering the importance of oral cancer and the lack of noninvasive diagnostic techniques, this study proposed the integration of Fourier transform into Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) theories to establish a simple, repeatable, and objective tongue diagnosis model for oral cancer in animals. This study found that as the weeks progressed, differences between the tumor group and the control group became more pronounced. Different quarters of the tongue also showed significant differences. This screening method for oral cancer can be considered in the future, moreover, integrated into TCM to provide TCM physicians with information while making diagnoses. |
