Participation, Pattern and Change: Creativity in Liu Xie and Lucretius

本論文援引盧克萊修與劉勰的著作，欲就文學創作能力論證一個觀點，或許跨文化皆通用。文中跳脫「從無中創造」（creation ex nihilo）的觀點，認為創作源自參與世界不斷變化的樣態，其中既有秩序，也有不確定性。

This essay draws on the work of both Lucretius and Liu Xie to argue for a notion of literary creativity that may be capable of functioning cross-culturally. This model eschews notions of creation ex nihilo in favour of a model rooted in a participation in the changing patterning of the world, a patterning in which there can be found both order and indeterminacy.
