Taiwan and China are facing fierce international competition that is being caused by the globalization. This will be an important key to the national competitiveness impact through cross-strait higher education exchanges for the transmission of cultural inheritance with regard to traditional silk culture. Closely linked traditionally embroidered Chinese silk dyeing technology has always been part of people's livelihood and their community. However, these intangible cultural heritage must be transmitted by higher education. If not, it will face the fate of a lost art. In response to the global warming and climate change disaster, brought about by the effect of greenhouse gas emissions, a natural dyeing development has been launched by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in international trendsetting, thereby promoting recovery of the natural techniques of dyeing embroidered traditional crafts. In addition to assessing indigo dyeing, silk tapestry and brocade representing the traditional Chinese crafts for the world cultural heritage, thus creating renewed attention to the modern value of traditional technology. This study went to Jiangsu Province for its fieldwork, and whilst there visited of experts and scholars, thereby enhancing a relatively new opportunity for cross-strait cooperation on this subject. This research aims to promote the precious cultural heritage through cross-strait higher education exchanges. |
