Corpus technology can be used to effectively reform English reading teaching when its new technology, tools and resources are smoothly incorporated with classroom instructions. The present study briefly reviews previous research on technology aided English reading teaching and introduces features of the keyword approach for reading teaching based on corpus linguistic theories. It elaborates methods and actual practices of teaching in-depth reading skills for English major students under the approach. Research results show positive effects of the method in developing students’ reading and thinking skills. Besides, this teaching mode offers good chances for students’ explorative and cooperative learning. |
