促進加護病房病患家屬對護理照顧瞭解之改善專案

Improvement of the patient families in understanding of nursing care in the ICU patients

本專案乃是運用品管圈的手法，改善加護病房病患家屬對護理照顧項目了解過程，期能提升護理服務品質。臨床上病患家屬常詢問某項護理照顧執行與否？本專案的進行，以加護病房之家屬為調查對象，其間2週共收集問卷17份，以主動告知之方式使家屬對護理照顧之瞭解度增加。調查結果顯示家屬對病人洗頭、擦澡之瞭解度為最低，其影響達70.6%，所以針對此二項之護理照顧，找出其主要原因為：(1)入院須知未說明；(2)家屬無法親眼目睹；(3)說明時間不恰當。以此三項為改善重點，針對此三項擬出一些可行之措施，以增加病患家屬對護理照顧之瞭解，推行之結果對護理服務之瞭解度由原來之75%增加至100%，效果最好的是會客時主動說明。

The purpose of this study is to improve the ICU patients’families’understanding of nursing care via quality control circle. By this, we aim to enhance the quality of nursing. It is found that patient’s families often inquire after the execution of nursing care, hence this study was carried out to investigate the effectiveness of improving the families’understanding by unforming them the details of nursing care before they make inquire. Results from 17 questionaires showed that the misunderstandings of nursing care most often inquired after were hair-washing and body-washing, total affective ratio reach 70.6 percentage. The main reasons for this finding are as follows: (1) lack of explanation on admission. (2) unable to witness the execution themselves. (3) inappropriate timing for giving explanation. Base upon the above 3 reasons, feasible measures were carried out to improve the families's understanding. The results showed an improvement of understanding from 75% to 100%. The best results were obtained when explanation were given during visiting time.
