Report on the study trip to the State of Hawaii

I October-16 November, 1/1967, Thirteen institutions visited and seventeen discussion by seminars and individual conference held. A. Hospital and Clinical Services: 1. The hospitals in the State of Hawaii, by ownership, are classified in two categories, namely: (1) Public-government own hospitals. From July 1, 1967, there are only state hospitals in this category, since all other county hospitals should be transfereed to the state government by the end of June 1967. (2) Private hospitals, chiefly voluntary nonprofit general hospitals started as community hospitals or missionary hospitals but also few private hospitals supported by special foundaton.
