Looking into the fast expanding trend of global internet, the internet's application and development become crucial to a nation or a society's future competition in terms of 'information civilization.' In turns, envisioning the dynamic growth of international electronic commerce, all the members of the earth village have to actively participate in the process and, further, adjust their legal framework so as to protect contracting parties' rights, to enhance social welfare and to avoid the possible out-law situations. Therefore, it is a non-delegable duty for a government to promote a rational legal environment being in compatible with he needs of electronic commerce. In principle, both sides of the strait have their common traits in sense of people orientation, industrial culture and cyberspace development while Taiwan learns earlier from market economy and gains more experiences therefrom. This is especially true in regard to the legal development and the regulation of electronic commerce. It has been the main theme of this article to introduce the related development in Taiwan as Mainland China's relevance in her future development in this regard. |
