危險物象徵符號、教育背景與性別對概念相容性影響之研究

Effects of Dangerous Materials Symbols, Educational Background, and Gender on Conceptual Compatibility

本研究旨在探討中華民國國家標準危險物標示之象徵符號對受試者概念相容性之影響。研究的因子共有三個，分別為危險物象徵符號、性別及教育背景。危險物象徵符號分 12 個水準，為危險物標示中的 12 種象徵符號，教育背景分為工程、商學、文學三個水準。實驗共分兩個階段，第一階段實驗進行結束之後，讓受試者接受具文字說明的危險物標示說明之訓練，接著進行第二階段實驗。研究結果顯示，不同的危險物標示象徵符號會顯著影響受試者的概念相容性，但教育背景與性別對概念相容性則無顯著的影響。另外，第二階段實驗的結果比第一階段有顯著的進步，因此施予危險物標示訓練，可使受試者對標示象徵符號之概念相容性增加。

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of pictorials of labels of dangerous materials, educational background, and gender on conceptual compatibility of users. Pictorial of dangerous materials was divided into twelve levels. Educational background was divided into three levels: engineering, business, and literature. The study was divided into two stages: before and after dangerous materials labels training. Results showed that pictorials of labels of dangerous materials did significantly affect conceptual compatibility. But, educational background and gender did not significantly affect conceptual compatibility. In addition, conceptual compatibility was significantly affected by training.
