With the arrival of economic era, the competition among industries and tempo of changes are more drastic. It's the same situation to medical industry. Due to the financial pressure of our national health insurance program, the policy is modified all the time. This causes the hospital to face a great cost pressure. A lot of research, in recent years, points out the application to the medical institutes of information science and technology helps reduce the hospital cost and effectively enhance administrative performance. As the organization relies more on information technology and information system, more competent staff applying and managing these technologies effectively are needed. Therefore, how to employ, and retain outstanding information personnel, is concerned by administrators of medical institutes. Career anchor, earliest proposed in 1978 by Schein, was applied widely to the career research for a lot of professional domain staff. During the early period, the research concentrated on exploring the distribution situation of the careers of information personnel. As time past by, relevant factors of career orientation and working environment were discussed successively. Nevertheless, the researches mostly studied information personnel in general enterprises and information industries, and students majoring in management information system. There were few researches focus on medical information staff. |
