The health (medicine) industry is a knowledge intensive industry. The health knowledge came from the intellectual capital of professionals within this business. While facing advanced medical knowledge, medical staffs have to learn new medical information as quickly as possible so to provide quality health care and e-library turns to be the best channel. Therefore, Department of Health (DOH) established an e-library system in the internet to support it’s hospitals. In this study, the Information System Success Model (DeLone & McLean, 2003) is adopted and revised to explore the characteristics and usage of DOH’s e-library system and it’s impact. The subjects in this survey are medical professionals from 25 DOH hospitals. ut Branches and those under outsourcing management were not selected. The research results shows the following. First, factors that influence the usage of DOH’s e-library system fit into DeLone & McLean’s ISS Model. The variables influence “intension to use” are information quality, system quality, and service quality. Secondly, factors that influence the “net benefit of using the e-library system” are “intension to use”, “satisfaction level”, “information quality”, “system quality” and “service quality” in that order. Thirdly, medical staffs all have positive attitude toward the usage of DOH’s e-library system. Finally, the weekly statistics reveals that there are not many medical staffs using the e-library. |
